Stretch of road previously repaired in a dangerous condition., 18th April
Clearly this area of damaged road has been repaired before. There is a stretch of atrocious potholes and uneven surfaces on the drivers side heading south out of Cornhill.
I was in a convoy of approximately 5 vehicles (1 HGV at front) travelling at 24mph (30mph limit). Vehicles were on coming. I drove over the damage surface as there was no alternative as a car was leaving the adjacent junction.
Even at a slow speed to surface has caused damage to my tyre, which now needs to be replaced through no fault of my own, it was simply the condition of the unmaintained section of road.
This section of road is in an incredibly poor condition and I would be shocked if it hasn't already been reported. I am looking to pursue the costs for a new tyre from the NCC.

Too tall, not standard, 30th March
There are two stiles in and out of a narrow woodland strip this first stile has been installed by the farmer, instead of putting a fence in perpendicular to the field boundary, it is too tall and is a barrier to those that are not so mobile. It’s been in place a long while but that may be because not many use the route, instead walk round and through the village, but there again because they avoid it is why it is still as it is!

Gas gun bird scared next to bridleway, 28th March
A very loud gas gun has been situated right next to the bridleway which is used regularly by horse riders. This is an obvious hazard to riders and against NFU guidelines which urges farmers not to do this.

Blocked drains, 13th March
There are a number of blocked drains on the A698 in Donaldsons Lodge, but this is the most problematical one. As it is located in a dip, even in light rain, trucks throw up sheets of water which drench pedestrians using the extremely narrow pavement. There is no escape!
