Stretch of road previously repaired in a dangerous condition., 18th April
Clearly this area of damaged road has been repaired before. There is a stretch of atrocious potholes and uneven surfaces on the drivers side heading south out of Cornhill.
I was in a convoy of approximately 5 vehicles (1 HGV at front) travelling at 24mph (30mph limit). Vehicles were on coming. I drove over the damage surface as there was no alternative as a car was leaving the adjacent junction.
Even at a slow speed to surface has caused damage to my tyre, which now needs to be replaced through no fault of my own, it was simply the condition of the unmaintained section of road.
This section of road is in an incredibly poor condition and I would be shocked if it hasn't already been reported. I am looking to pursue the costs for a new tyre from the NCC.

Churned up area on common green with a very high ‘drop’ at the rear of the kerbstone where soil has been ‘moved’ by traffic., 15th February
So many people drive over the grass to ‘cut the corner’ or even park on the grass. There are now very deep ruts in the soil, the ruts/troughs fill with water and become a large muddy mess, but when it’s dry & the ground hard, anyone walking over the grass could twist an ankle or worse. When it’s a mess people are even less likely to have any second thoughts about just driving across the green (not done by the people who live in the street) Also the kerb stones have been driven over so many times you can see how they’ve sunk in places. It’s spoiling what should be a lovely common green. Can a way be put into action to bar cars & vans from parking on & driving on and churning up the green? This has been going on for a while and is getting worse.
