FIXMYSTREET IN TR16 4BQ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of TR16 4BQ:
Raised ridge across the road just before slip road to Avers Roundabout travelling Eastwards. Possibly something linked to strip across road usually covered with rubber but it looked like metal and caught my front offside tyre causing a serious puncture., 4th May
The raised strip across the road looked metallic. When I had got the wheel changed and returned home from Redruth travelling from the Avers Roundabout Westward onto the A 30 there was a corresponding but rubberised strip across the road just as I joined the A 30 from the slip road, but this caused no problem. I have a feeling these strips are to do with traffic counting? It is likely I will need at least a new tyre and possibly a new wheel but I cannot get this fixed until after the bank holiday weekend.

Faded road markings, 20th January
The road markings at this junction are almost non-existent causing cars to continue onto the roundabout without stopping. On multiple occasions, I've had to brake or beep to warn cars entering the roundabout that I'm already on it as they haven't stopped to look right at the oncoming traffic. It needs clearer road markings and signage.

Badly overegrown hedges, 19th December
I have lived here for over 4 decades and the owners of the land bordering the St Day Rd between my marker on the map and The Star Inn at Vogue have hardly ever cut the hedges. It is now very dangerous and as it's a busy main road with huge buses using it, there is going to be an accident because two vehicles can't pass safely. The road width has been drastically reduced by huge gorse bushes and brambles growing out from the hedges over a metre in places.
