TREE root & earth subsidence ROADSIDE Bareppa Hill, 7th March
There is a tree which should be felled. It news looking at on hill between Bareppa and Penjerrick. With all the rain, there is a huge amount of subsidence and the roots look to cave in onto the road soon. Any more rain and high winds and this will fall across the road. It is leaning already at quite an angle. As much as I love trees this is potentially a great danger to traffic and if it fell on a vehicle it would be fatal. I am travelling on this road more regularly since the Maenporth Road and now Hill has road works on it. It really should be looked at by either the owner of the land, council, tree surgeon etc … before a nasty accident happens. In any event it will block the road, for traffic and the buses which use this particular route.
I have taken some photographs but do not have them to hand. Please contact me if you wish me to organise sending them to you.
Kind regards Elizabeth Talbot

Pot Holes, 7th February
I would like to report the serious 'pot holes' which have spread right across the road at Bareppa in Mawnan Smith. Because the pot holes are now so extensive and close to a corner it is very difficult to avoid them, even if you know they are there.
Another aspect which has made them more difficult to spot is the level of water which has collected around them.
They are close to a corner which is on a hill and because cars swerve around them, there is a strong possibly of an accident being caused.
I am sure that I am doing everyone who lives in the area a favour by bringing them to your attention, and especially those who do not.
Yours sincerely Elizabeth Talbot
