Speeding traffic, 16th September
Over 200 cars every hour use these roads as a rat run. Majority are driving in excess of 50mph in 30mph zones. Proper speed humps should be in place in order to deter drivers from driving dangerously. Walking/cycling on the main roads in the village is very dangerous for innocent people, but it is quite clear to us as residents, that until someone is killed, nothing will be done! The police and council need to put up speed cameras, trust me when I say, they'd catch hundreds of drivers a day. The only time our road is quiet is between 2am and 3am, the other 23 hours of the day has through-traffic.

Dangerous Parking, 14th July
Guests and contractors staying at The Sidings Student Accomodation are parking on a stretch of Kernick Road, near the blue bridge making the road impassable and dangerous. They park adjacent to the traffic lights in the path of oncoming traffic. Due to the camber of the road the oncoming traffic approach on a blind bend straight into the path of the parked cars. They then cannot get through as traffic is waiting at the lights and the parked cars are blocking the road. On the lower end of the road the cars parked force the oncoming traffic onto the opposite side of the road on a blind corner into the path of yet more oncoming traffic. There is total chaos and there will be a serious if not fatal accident. I know double yellow lines are planned for the Autumn but I’m afraid that is going to be too late.

Pavement and carriageway have been undermined, deep excavation alongside pavement, no shoring or support, traffic management not up to standard, no pedestrian diversion or lighting, 14th July

Recycling left behind, 6th July
I am aware the recycling collectors work extremely hard and generally do a fantastic job. I appreciate there are at least seven properties, including two HMO's leaving both refuse and recycling in one small area at the entrance of Highland Park. But, the amount of rubbish left behind after collection is getting beyond a joke now - particularly as we are 'off the radar' for street claening. Please help! ?

Spraying of glyphosate ..., 16th March
The most widely sprayed herbicide in the world kills honeybees, according to a new report. When pollinators come in contact with glyphosate, the chemical reduces this gut bacteria, leaving bees vulnerable to pathogens and premature death. ... Whilst cycling through the university this morning I came across a man completely dressed in white university overalls spraying Glyphosate ... when I challenged him about the harm he might be doing he told me to ' Fuck off and mind my own business ' as I was on my daily bike ride I ask him if it was altright with him if I fucked off later upon which he became even more abusive ... I assume that as he was driving an Exeter campus van and the uniform too that he spoke on behalf of the university ... I always suspected that there was this attitude to those of us that reside in the town of Falmouth.
