FIXMYSTREET IN TQ9 6NX
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of TQ9 6NX:
Flooding, 6th January
Flooding cause by blocked drain. Probably blocked due to run off from field from the amount of rainfall. However, it is so deep that cars are having to take in turns to use shallower side to get through. Yesterday Eve on way home, I witnessed a near miss of traffic accident.

Broken manhole cover and pothole, 15th November
This pothole is as a result of a broken/faulty manhole cover. Whilst this road already has porr viability at night or when raining it is easy to run over it casting damage to you car, as I did on Monday evening. This portion of the road is riddled with potholes and certainly falls below the standard of road safety in my opinion. I would urge the council to come out and review this section of the street as soon as possible, as this could quite easily cause a more serious accident if it is left and not dealt with. Please act ASAP! It's not safe.

Bin men insist on leaving empty bins close to parked cars. Even in a moderate wind they topple over and cause expensive damage., 26th October
This has been going on for months and South Hams Council are hopeless to deal with. Surely, it is not beyond the wit of the refuse operatives to apply some common sense. I probably don't have a leg to stand on if my car is damaged. The council will say it is an "act of God"!

Kerbstones on new roundabout breaking up, 21st February
The central island on the new roundabout has an "outer" kerb that is not meant to be driven over. These kerbstones are now lifting and are beginning to present a hazard - several are loose and moving. The roundabout is too "tight" for the excessively sized/weight articulated trucks and 3 axle coaches that use the A385 on a daily basis, and that also present a hazard to vehicles passing in the opposite direction as they cross the centre white lines on tight bends.
