3ft x 2ft x 6ins deep hole at side of carriageway, 29th February
This pothole has previously been repaired but is now much worse. It caused our car to think that we had crashed and cut off the fuel supply so we were unable to move, blocking the road. 2 other cars had stopped further on after damaging wheels and tyres in the same hole.

Erosion on sharp corner, 28th February
There has been a large part of the bank missing on the corner of Bayham Road and Bartley Mill Road for several weeks now. Since the drain work was done on Bartley Mill Lane there are now no passing places along this lane. Therefore driving east-west to get from Bayham Road to Bartley Mill Road it is necessary to use the second difficult turning with the added problem of the 1mtr x 1mtr erosion on the corner it is therefore extremely difficult and dangerous to use these roads.

Potholes, 14th December
The serious potholes in this small downhill stretch of the B2169 have been reopened by recent heavy rain. The patching work carried out recently has been washed away leaving the road in a dangerous condition. The road is narrow and as vehicles try to avoid the holes there is a danger of collision with on coming traffic.

Culvert drain on Southwest side blocked continually, 24th September
This culvert removes all the water from Bartley Mill Road hill leading up to Wickhurst Farm on the south west side of the carriageway. Due to the verge encroaching into the carriageway, the water runs straight past the drain, and it fills quickly with leaves and debris. The verge needs cutting back so that the water goes into the drain and not further down the hill. The drain needs protecting from passing traffic using some concrete kerbstones. Our verges and driveway at Bartley Mill are continually flooded during heavy rainfall. This is an ongoing issue, which is not helped by the move to bi-annual clearance of culverts

Verges have been removed from Bartley Mill Lane, 24th September
Due to recent drainage works which have installed a new drain along the south side of this carriageway, the informal passing places which used to be present in the past 27 years have been removed from this single carriage roadway. This roadway has a double bend in it and is essential for traffic travelling south off the B2169 onto the C82 as well as travelling east onto the B2169 from the C82. There is no alternative road for local road users. However the recent drainage works have made the road impractical to use as it is not possible to reverse onto the B2169 or the C82 but there is now no option due to the lack of informal passing spaces.
