White Hart Hill in Guestling was recently closed for resurface however this seems to have been an inadequate resurface of patches in both directions, especially heading up the hill where the speed limit increases from 30 to 50, multiple holes still present, some deep,

White Hart Beefeater hill still in poor condition despite recent 2 day closure, 10th April

Wed, 10 Apr 2024 14:54:55 +0100
50.891485 0.628745

Hill in Guestling between beefeater and the primary school was recently closed for 2 days, assumed a full resurface of both sides would have been done, however the resurface has only been done in patches which hasn’t resolved the worst issues as heading down the hill has had minimal resurfacing and heading up the hill is still particularly dangerous at the start of the section of the hill where vehicles can overtake due to 2-3 holes that some vehicles are trying to avoid or being knocked out of driving in a straight line when hitting one of these holes ???

Guestling Hill, big holes still present despite being closed 2 days for resurfacing, 6th April

Sat, 06 Apr 2024 19:19:51 +0100
50.893317 0.630941

The hill heading up towards the White Hart Beefeater in Guestling has been closed for 2 nights this week for resurfacing, however driving up this hill tonight (Saturday) my cars still clattered over some big holes on/just before the section where vehicles can overtake? Has this resurfacing not been completed or have these holes been missed during the patches of the hill that have been resurfaced? Thanks

Uneven surfaces and holes!, 24th March

Sun, 24 Mar 2024 17:42:27 +0000
50.893019 0.630855

Hill between Guestling primary school and White Hart Beefeater is in poor condition, dangerous in some places. Heading up to the beefeater from the primary school where the hill briefly goes into 2 lanes from one has 2 holes and various lumps and bumps causing a hazard as cars are avoiding them and if they’re hit they affect the direction of wheels which if this leads to a blow out/wheel or suspension damage an accident could happen. Heading down the hill from the beefeater to the school there’s a severely deteriorated patch of road at the bottom of the hill (next to the big ‘30’ sign) just before the primary school, even when taking the condition or this patch in consideration and driving over it at 20mph my car still clatters over this patch.

Between White Hart Beefeater and Guestling primary school, issues been present for as long as I can remember, just deteriorating more as time goes on and whenever the rain comes down. 1) Approaching Guestling primary school from White Hart Beefeater, 2 rough patches that my car clatters over every morning, despite reducing my speed according to the road condition, one on the approach to the school, one slightly further back and another deep hole somewhere on the hill just past the beefeater (I drive over this road at 3.30am ish so hard to pinpoint where the hole is but I’ve hit it every morning this week) 2) In the other direction approaching the beefeater heading away from the primary school, another 2 rough patches approaching the part of the the hill where vehicles can overtake… 3) Now the part of the hill where vehicles can overtake others is where things get dangerous…multiple holes, some that cause cars to veer over, yesterday (6/3/24) a car overtook me on this hill and multiple loose bits of tarmac flicked up against my car, surely this is a skid hazard, especially in wet conditions, dangerous enough for cars/vans but I’m glad I’m not on 2 wheels’

Road floods and hides the pot holes and bad surface., 27th February

Due to flooding it is not possible to see how bad the pot holes is. But it is certainly quite deep judging by the the angle the car tilted and the resulting bang as the edges of the pot hole was hit.

Water run off soaking building, 10th February

Sat, 10 Feb 2024 14:31:14 +0000
50.892039 0.635837

The camber on the road leads all of the rain towards our property. When they relaid the road they laid it flush to the border, hence why the water now enters the drive and is being soaked up by the wall, even though there is a gully directly in front of the wall. This needs to be dealt with before water damage occurs to our property please.

As well as a road surface that’s in poor condition between guestling primary school and White Hart beefeater there are now 2 potholes on the hill where the speed limit increases to 50mph and vehicles can overtake other vehicles, this hill is becoming dangerous! Will cause and accident in time either through somebody getting a blow out/damaged wheel or tyre

Wide and deep pothole, 15th January

Mon, 15 Jan 2024 08:08:23 +0000
50.892577 0.613184

The pothole is in the centre of the road and often hidden under local flooding. It's a big danger to traffic in both directions. Both the pothole and the constant flooding need to be corrected.

Multiple deep pot holes, 12th January

Fri, 12 Jan 2024 08:54:57 +0000
50.900503 0.598065

There are multiple deep pot holes on both sides of Moor Lane that cause traffic to veer into the opposite lane. Given this is a well used route, with very windy bends it is a danger to traffic to try to avoid these holes.

Uneven surface and lots of holes between Guestling primary school and White Hart beefeater, 4th January

Thu, 04 Jan 2024 16:40:43 +0000

Deteriorating road surface on both sides and lots of holes appearing between Guestling Primary and White Hart beefeater, starts just past the primary school and ends at the top of the hill before the white Hart beefeater (particularly dangerous where cars can overtake others when heading up the hill)! The 3 signs warning of humps aren’t a resolution neither is chucking down some tarmac in a hole here and there! Issues been present for a long time!

Flooding blocking one side of carriageway, 4th January

Thu, 04 Jan 2024 09:42:39 +0000
50.900543 0.630944

Flooding blocking one side of carriageway. Same place as reported yesterday. I drove through at 08:15 and vehicles were having to take it in turns to get past it. Don't know why this has been closed as apparently the flood is no longer there, when the flood is still there even if it has gone down a bit.

Flood blocking whole road, 3rd January

Wed, 03 Jan 2024 08:44:44 +0000

Vehicles taking it in turns to ford the middle of the road. Located between the two "flood" signs that have been here for years. No rain here this morning so this has been here overnight. There is no street lighting so it is not visible in the dark. My vehicle is making strange noises after I drove slowly and carefully down the middle of the road.
