Tree fallen across road and hanging just above cars, 2nd January
Tree needs to be cleared near Netherfield (coming from Heathfield towards Battle). On Battle Road, near the huge bend at the bottom of the hill (where potholes have just been repaired).

Large deep and rapidly deteriorating pothole damaging car wheels/tyres, 2nd December
This was 'marked up' by Highways for repair about two months ago, but to date it has not been repaired. It is now getting bigger by the day and because it is near a bend and RIGHT in the line of nearside car wheels it is now starting to cause severe damage to cars and cycles.

Large area of carriageway eroded approx 2m long x 1m wide x 0.15m deep adjacent to postboxm, 17th January
This is a relatively new pothole (since Christmas 2022) since I have not seen it before. I drove up here in the dark 3 days ago and hit it at 20-30 mph. It fills with water so is likely to be unidentifiable as a deep hole.

Pothole on left side going uphill from Darwell Hole to Netherfield., 30th August
The hole is not particularly obvious, until you hit it. It must have a very sharp edge to it, on the uphill side since every time I hit it the car is seriously jolted. It is particularly problematic in sunny weather since this induces the wearing of sunglasses, but the pothole is in a shaded part of the road.
