Broken manhole cover in passing place, 19th March
The cover has collapsed into the drain. A hazard in itself but it is likely impeding drainage further up the lane as the gateway and part of the garden to Lostford manor is flooding after any reasonable rainfall. The drain itself was cleared about 18 months ago.

Road is usually gritted but not this winter., 16th January
Every year I have lived here Station Road has been gritted. This year it is not. Why? The main bus stop for Thomas Adam’s School is by the Crescent In Station Road, so many children walk down the road or are dropped off in cars early in the morning. Also Hodnet Fire Station is in this road. And a new housing estate is being built which creates a lot of mud on the road. This mud is dangerous when icy. The road was covered in ice this morning and was very dangerous. It is only a matter of time before there is an accident if it is not gritted. Please continue to grit this busy route. Thank You

A number of potholes, 4th January
The white paint spray applied following the original report in Jan 2023 has been eroded away as the holes have considerably increased in size and severity. As you are intending to address another pothole which I have reported in Hodnet perhaps you could arrange to address all the potholes here during one visit. There are also a number along Drayton Road in the village which also in serious need of attention. Thank you.

Roadside gulley/drains backing up, 2nd January
Both roadside drains are backing up and road water run off is pooling and running across my property. We have very little headroom on our surface water drains when they are working properly, now they are backing up, we are getting sewer water stagnation and flow back. The gulley on the first photograph is now submerged and the water is about to overtop the curbs and flow around the adjacent wall into our property which is approx 1500mm below road level. We have lived here decades and this hasn't happened before. Maybe simply needs a pump truck to give the drainage a good suck out? Thanks.
