Roadside open ditch to drain, 4th January
Must be a collapsed drain under passageway. Water no where to go so is running onto the road and flooding it. Also farm traffic has pushed grass verges up and so has blocked run offs for water to go into the open ditch. Currently the water is running through my farm yard to our drains which are working as are cleared annually. Every time it rains this section floods and it is exactly where on pointed on the map. You can’t miss it.

Large pothole/surface degradation, 29th May
The potholes were here 1 month ago but the size of them has increased 200% as a result of HGV’s using Platt Lane during recent A442 closures (put in place by Shropshire Council) NB this wasn’t the signed diversion route, merely ones, I assume, chosen by drivers via their sat nav.

Depressed road surface, 11th July
Following repairs to the road surface and access cover earlier this year, the surface immediately after the access cover (when travelling south on the A442) in now lower than the surrounding surface. The road is narrow at this point and larger vehicles have to drive close to the road edge. As they pass over this area they produce excessive noise (crashing and banging) and vibration sufficient to shake the surrounding houses, and keep residents awake at night! This is one specific issue associated with this stretch of road (both carriageways), where the surface is very irregular causing a lot of noise from passing vehicles.
