FIXMYSTREET IN TA7 0AE
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of TA7 0AE:
Lanes perhaps need to be re-signed, 24th April
Travelling from North Petherton to Northbound M5 the near side lane is marked ‘services M5 with arrows pointing to the services and a RH arrow to continue around’ so you have the inside lane to go onto the M5 north. I use this lane twice a week and the number of times my car has nearly been written off because drivers in the next lane to me on my RH side think that either they can go straight into the services which means they’re crossing in front of me, or they go around then want to come across me to go into the lane for the M5north cutting me off or coming towards my side of the car. It’s a very fast road with traffic lights. The signage doesn’t seem to work, perhaps the near side lane should just be for the services, and everyone else to go into the second lane before they then split into left for the M5 north, and right for either straight on and right for M5 south. I am not the only one who has a problem with this roundabout. I have used this particular roundabout for the last 2years.

Side of road needs road sweeping, 19th March
There has been a build up of rubbish and broken glass among other sharp and dangerous items getting stuck into the mushy mud. The waste is spreading further into the road which may cause a stretch for slippage for vehicles trying to break on the corner near the school causing potential injury. It also poses a risk for pedestrians who may slip on the sludge and cut themselves with the glass and other debris building up.

Hidden in previous tarmac filled trench. Unable to be seen and is hit before you realise.
Its difficult to describe placement but, this area should be inspected on the North carriageway into Bridgwater from North Petherton as the two trenches have potholes at around 3 points in various depths however there is one which will cause damage and or injury.
