Poor Quality Road Repairs, 21st December
Recently, local roads ( particularly Isle Brewers Lane ) have been repaired . These repairs have not been properly bonded to either the road suface , or within the repair medium ,which has resulted in large quantities of the repair constituents being washed away , leaving a drain blockage problem and an even more uneven road surface ( in multiple locations ... none are of any quality).
You are probably well aware of this issue already , but in case you are not ........ it would seem that you are paying contractors who are not performing a satisfactory function . Perhaps there is a good explanation .

Silting-Up of the Westport Canal, 16th November
The Westport Canal used to be dredged regularly , as I understand it , but over the last few years this has ceased to be happening . As a result, the Flood Waters are not draining off the surrounding land with the same efficientcy as in the past, leaving the drainage ditches filled with water . This is giving cause for concern , in that a minor blockage within the calverts of the canal system could result in "house-flooding" that would otherwise have been avoided .
