Large pothole, 17th April
Large pothole on approach to the start of the dual carriageway. Hard to tell exactly due to speed of the road but caused a significant jolt to the wheel as it clearly fell away. Very harsh impact and yet to assess any damage.

Sign obstructing view THERE will be Accident!, 24th August
On the Eagle Cross Junction.. There are Big Road work signs/warning signs about the A303, obstructing vision down the 303 to Southfields roundabout making visibility and safety horrendous it is already a very nasty/dangerous junction to come out of and there is a great big sign blocking the vision of seeing oncoming cars there will be an accident! The same problem on the other side of the junction they need moving away from the junctions

Potholes and crumbling road surface (North side), 23rd February
I had previously reported two potholes on the eastbound carriageway of the A303 between the Tollhouse and Combesbury. I was informed that these were to be filled temporarily but the problem still persists. The road edge is also showing signs of crumbling and with the heavy lorry traffic will become more deformed as time goes on. As a local I use this road frequently and am concerned that matters of this nature need to be resolved before the holiday season commences.

6 foot by 2 foot pot hole, 30th December
6x2 foot pot hole causes my tyre to blow out, on the 29th dec 2022, recovery needed.
10 mins after this happened to me another car pulled into the carpark suffering the same problem.

Two potholes on a303 eastbound, 29th December
There are two potholes between the old toll house and Combesbury turning on the A303 eatbound. These are getting progressive larger due to vehicle tyres and wheels impacting them.

Pothole, 15th November
Pothole on road from Eagle Tavern to Wellington road. The pothole is on the south west side of the road just before the second turning to Buckland near a house called Kemar. It appears to be a patch that has been recently repaired.

1ft deep pothole that is spreading onto A303, 14th July
This road has been deteriorating in the last three years that I have lived in the area, and after talking with a gentleman at Somerset South he suggested I report to you again. I have already reported this but it has now become incredibly dangerous and is going into the main A303 now. You have people surveying the trees along there today, but perhaps they could look down. I will also be reporting this again to the Parish Council but they have been trying to get this junction repaired for years. I hope noone has an accident especially someone on two wheels as they would not stand a chance.

The road has deteriorated and the bot holes are dangerous, 21st June
At the t junction both left and right the road is bot holed so badly that the road is dangerous for cyclists and motor vehicles.

The road has deteriorated so turning left is difficult without entering the wrong side of the road making it dangerous., 30th May
The parents collecting children from the local school and local residents have complained to the Parish Council that the road junction is dangerous when turning left onto the A303. The road has deteriorated so that positioning the car is forced more central than to the left of the junction. This means when entering the A303 the car is closer to the central line than would be possible if the road was in better condition. This is dangerous as vehicles have been known to enter the wrong side of the road and be faced with oncoming traffic which are unsighted. People misjudge the traffic from the left at the junction as they are often unsighted by vegetation and it will only be a matter of time when an accident will happen.

Run off straight into driveway, 28th May
Agar Cottage, TA20 3TF. In heavy rain water runs straight off the A303 into our driveway. It then floods our paddock and driveway. Our animals are affected. We have lots of footage. Higher lip needed on our driveway and/or revised drainage.

Signs obscuring vision in both directions, 13th November
If pulling out of this junction from the chard side, you cannot see in either direction if traffic is oncoming due to the idiotic placements of roadwork signs in the verges,. one to the left and 3 to the right. They need removing before a serious accident occurs on an already dangerous junction.

Road at junction has fallen away and going into A303 now., 8th November
At the junction at Newtown, Buckland St Mary, it is now not possible to pull out left onto the A303 unless you exagerate your pull out as the road is disintegrating at the junction. You are down as closing this stretch of road on the 13th November and I was wondering whether you would be able to address this issue. I have had to have a new tyre because of this but it is now undermining the A303 and will soon be a bigger problem. P

Blocked footbridge over river Yarty, 22nd October
When ever the river rises this blockage happens. When it does there is nowhere for the excess water to go so the river bursts it's banks, flowing over the field next to it, crossing the road and flooding the nearby residence. The bridge gets blocked about six times a year.

Lose manhole, 19th August
I drove to Torquay on the 15th of July around 1.30 PM and had an incident on a dual carriageway, caused by a manhole cover to dislodge, which damaged my car, car behind me, and several other vehicles. The location was A303 near the slip road, which leads to a village called Marsh, just before the Devon sign.
My car has a damaged wheel alloy and broken tyre. I had a couple who lived nearby managed to put temporary tyre for me and car behind me who also stopped, had 3 damaged wheel alloys.
As I changed details with him and he got recovered, his details are Kieran Simer, Ya69 XRD.
We both co contacted somerset Council but were told its Highway who ma ages the road.

Blind junction on to A303, 29th July
A no right turn sign should be installed from Bishopswood to A303. It is dangerous and sight lines impossible to see on coming traffic. Serious accident caused could have been a fatality.
