Large articulated lorries using road through the village as a cut through to Swindon and beyond.

Lorries churning up the verge and damaging newly laid road, 15th December
The drivers of F and S Gibbs are using a residential road as a short cut to a farm. In the process, they are churning up grass and damaging edging stones as they mount the verges and then sound their horns in protest as they are struggling to get past legally parked cars disturbing babies and disabled people living in the locality. Any damage to cars will need to be paid for by the logistics company

As I left the roundabout going south to join the A346 I hit a large pothole and the front nearside tyre developed a large irreparable hole.

Pothole 12" dia x 6" deep; 24" from edge of road, travelling in westerly direction. This is sufficient to cause a nasty accident to a motorcyclist/cyclist or damage to a car. GR 184/230523.

Road in very poor state of repair, 9th September
Gilberts piece. I reported this last year and told it would be fixed this year. they sent some men with a small load of tarmac which was nowhere near enough, even the workmen commented, have now phoned the council to be told we are not on the list to be repaired. the surface is more worn than good, it needs digging away and totally resurfaced. the photo shows the poor surface and the bits that were repaired.

Road surface, 20th September
Road surface in very poor condition,very uneven, patches of severe wear and tear, likely exacerbated by parents from school using it as parking area when delivering and collecting children from school. it has significantly deteriorated in the last 2 years since we moved here in july 2006.
