The "new" street lighting seems to be on a shorter pole and definitely with a shorter reach arm. This means that however bright the light is, it is much more quickly obscured by the foliage. Obviously the council is not simply a contractor to put up equipment, but they are responsible for providing a service. In this case (and many others) the service is not provided despite fully functioning equipment. There is clearly a need for some alternative lampposts which allow for a greater spread of light. Its also a sad waste of public money to have installed inappropriate equipment in the first place. I do hope the council will take responsibility for their shortcomings and work with their partners to resolve this.

Collection of deep potholes and ruts, 25th January
There are a serious of large potholes and ruts in the road leaving Chippenham. Very close to the junction which makes braking / steering very tricky, particularly in the wet as well as the usual shudder to the cars going over it.

Litter in layby, 19th April
The layby on A350 nr Bumpers Farm has lots of litter in the verge and hedging bushes. when last cleaned the litter in the hedges were just left!

There is tones of litter in the area and tangled up with all the bushes. This area is never cleaned or monitored for people dumping litter here. Needs some signs and enforcement! You have had 3 months and nothing has been done!
