Pothole has been there months. Middle of road. Approx 30cm wide and 10cm deep with hard edges. Potentially causing accident for cycle or motorcycle, damage to cars.

Someone has dumped a large old garden swing (metal frame and double seat) in the grass to the side of the road. Must have been overnight 14/15 August.

Litter Armageddon, 9th January
I wanted a relaxing walk in the countryside but unfortunately as soon as we got to the country lanes near Hangar 5 children's play centre it was armageddon and the level of trash on the verges between Camrose and Poyston was an absolute disgrace. How on earth, as a tourist's county especially do we let these lanes get in such a state? I picked a bag but that was barely a scratch on it. I was there to enjoy my walk not to litter pick. When did people stop caring seriously. We have to act now. Legislation, enforcement, education. I have attached my route map and the lanes highlighted in blue were the problem areas. No doubt this is repeated county-wide though! There has to be more regular cleaning of country lanes. Even if it's by giving locals an incentive and the equipment to do it.

Large tree fallen into brook, 30th May
Large tree has fallen into Camrose Brook, about 100 m South of Cutty Bridge. Branches cover whole width of brook, so after rain will block quickly and flood road.

Black waste bags dumped in hedge and field, 8th May
Several black bin bags (about 6 in number) dumped on roadside, in hedge and in field. Some have split. Located on E side of B4330 about 100m S of Mountain Hall entrance, 200m N of Red Hill Farmhouse. Has happened in last 2 days.

Temporary warning sign in dangerous position, 13th March
Temporary sign on W side of A40 at junction with minor road to Camrose. Sign is warning of roadworks to the north. Sign obscures view of oncoming traffic to vehicles emerging from minor road. Drivers must edge out into major road to see round it. All it needs is someone to move the sign 1m or 2m away from the road edge.

After high winds, a tree branch has dislodged and is hanging over the road. Cars can pass underneath but a large lorry would not be able to. Needs attending to before it causes an accident.

Recessed drain gulley in middle of road, 12th June
I ruined my offside front tyre when I hit this drain cover that has been tarmacked into the road about 2" below the surface. Felt like I had hit a brick in the road as I drove uphill. Sidewall of tyre split when wheel rim hit the edge.

Thick layer of mud on road at blind bend, 23rd April
Thick layer of mud on road for almost half a mile, from quarry to Eliot’s Hill lane. Significant hazard to vehicles as this section has a double blind bend and is a significant hazard to all vehicles, especially 2-wheelers. Farmer uses road with tractors etc but never seems able to clean up afterwards. Using alternative route into town until this is washed away.

Damage to road edge and marker posts, 14th November
It looks as though a vehicle has almost left the road half way up this hill. Marker posts (there is a big drop to the side of the road) have been flattened. Danger to road users in the dark or fog, as the sheer road edge is no longer marked or protected.

Mud and slurry on road creating hazard, 24th October
Farmer has been moving cattle and vehicles between quarry and fields using road. Road is deep in mud and slurry for approx 400 metres. This is on a blind S bend, and is a significant hazard for 2-wheeled vehicles. Any vehicle travelling on this road in wet conditions gets filthy. This is a persistent problem which I have reported several times with no improvement.

Yet again, mud across the road from farmyard. Section of road is a double blind bend, serious hazard to all vehicles, especially two-wheelers. Needs clearing up, but needs slippery road signage as a minimum. This is a persistent problem and nothing seems to be being done about it.

Thick mud on road from farm vehicles, yet again. Blind double bend, serious hazard to any two-wheeled vehicle., 5th September
Road is frequently covered in thick mud from farm vehicles crossing the road. No attempts made to clean up. Section of road is a blind double bend, and slippery road surface is a significant hazard to any vehicle, especially two-wheelers. Have reported this numerous times, problem always returns.

20mm of mud for 100m of road surface., 28th November
Mud on road 20mm deep for about 100m on a blind double bend. Hazard for all two-wheeled vehicles and a nuisance for the rest. Happens frequently here with no attempt to clean it up. No warning signage. Have reported before and been assured that action would be taken, but has made no difference.

Dangerous mud, 16th August
Road for 200m either side of this point is frequently covered in thick mud from agricultural vehicles traversing the road between fields. Farmer makes no effort to clean up. Section of road is a double bend with poor visibility and the location of frequent minor accidents as vehicles meet head-on and swerve to avoid. I travel the road frequently by motorcycle and it is often in what I consider to be a dangerous condition.
