Lots of recent potholes, getting worse daily because of water, 9th April

Tue, 09 Apr 2024 12:50:53 +0100
51.584665 -4.196089

There are lots of potholes on this stretch. Heading from Reynoldston towards Little Reynoldston, there is a metal gated entrance to a field. There is lots of water pouring from this field (there is water coming from here even in the middle of a long dry hot summer, so may be a spring or stream rather than surface water). This water running seems to have made the potholes along this road noticeably bad and worsening over the last month or so. Some holes are really deep. But - there is one pot hole where the water has now started to flow up from - close to the metal gate - so water / stream / spring is now flowing under the tarmac and making it worse daily. If anyone in highways fancies a nice drive out to check potholes, there are masses of bad ones all over Gower & Swansea, most of which have been getting progressively worse recently. I’d hate to hit one of them on a push bike or motorbike!
