Soil deposited by local authority in layby, 22nd February
Circa 6 months ago residents reported that a large amount of soil has been dumped by County Council in layby on the U4094 road, near Maes-y-Fron, at Llanycrwys. This causes inconvenience to motorists who use this narrow road (9ft wide) when confronted with cars travelling in opposite direction. The Community Council have repeatedly asked for soil to be moved, but the local authority have failed to do so. A member of the public witnessed the local authority dump the soil and the County Council conceded to the County Councillor for the area, that they had done this.

Pavement collapsing, sign unclear and gutters not clear (Heol Timothy) Ffaldybrenin, 11th August
#Carmarthen #Plaid #Rural #Wales I wonder if you could bring this to the attention of the right people please. Heol y Tomothy, Ffaldybrenin. The sign is in an awful condition and cant be read in the evening. The pavement is collapsing and there are a lot of elderly residents that use the pavement. The pavement around this area (near the War Memorial) needs sweeping, and the gutters are stopping water run off which stops the water running off the street. The road markings are missing with the junction of Heol Y Pistyll near the Chapel. There are pot holes all over this section of road. The manhole covers at this section of road are all uneven.
We would really appreciate you passing this on to the right people. It's used by elderly people, close to the War Memorial and Chapel.
If you let Cllr Eirwyn Williams know when it's sorted we'd be really grateful if you kept him in the loop.

Concrete conduit destroyed, rocks and gravel blocking other ditches, 2nd December
A few weeks ago someone from the council came to clear our ditches. Unfortunately, the concrete ditch pictured was destroyed, resulting in stones and gravel pouring down the road in the recent floods. There is a ford lower down from our house, so if there is rain followed by icy weather, a) it is dangerous, b) we would not be able to go anywhere nor would anyone be able to get to our house - post, deliveries, emergency vehicles.

Blocked council drains in road, 16th October
There are two drains opposite each other. Both are currently blocked which floods the road the runoff pouring down our track for 1/3 mile trashing the track. On Saturday the road was about 6 inches deep in water. One of the drains empties into a field and the field is higher than the drain. The other has a grating right on the edge of a field. Mud just pours into it. We are fed up of having to try and clear these drains every time it rains. Neither field belongs to us. This situation has been there for years, but recently a fence has been put in which has increased the mud flow into the drain with the grating.
