Lamp post damaged, 23rd June
There is a damaged lamp post outside the British Red Cross Shop. It has been hit by a van. The Red Cross Shop have tried to make it safe for their customers by putting the safe barriers there. This has happened many times. It should be removed as it is never in use as it is too often damaged.

Road Sign is wrong in Welsh, 22nd April
On the road sign at the afore mentioned location whoever has had the privilege of proofreading for a new road sign has translated the sign for High Street as Stryd Uchel. This is incorrect - the name is Stryd Fawr as known on other signs on the same street. Please correct the sign and put a stop to such simple errors that costs £100s to fix.

Dog misbehaving and running wild in public park, 24th March
Problem is that present an unknown danger to other users of parks. These multiple dogs were running wild. Meaning that other users could not use the park in safety. A young group of toddlers from a kindergarten couldnt use the park because of the inconsiderate owners. These parks were established for the use of people on the toil and swest of our forefathers. Why should selfish individuals who priorotise dogs over the future generation be allowed to behave like this. I would like the council and local councillers to solve this matter and put some signs up to deter such behavior from now on. Strict fines should be imposable initially with detension of the owners dogs on repeat offence. This is a statutory nuicance and health and safety matter.

Illegal parking and obstructing drive ways, 27th January
During weekly sporting events at the recreational ground visitors park along double yellow lines and across and opposite driveways. This blocks the residents from leaving their homes by car. This is a regular event and residents have missed important appointments as a result. There are several car parks located at the rugby and football club with ample parking. This is becoming a frustrating issue. Please could something be done about it.

Newly laid road fretting out.Due to a cold load or a bad mix.The council can get this remedied by contacting contractor/quarry, 15th November
Cold Material/incorrect material starting to break out.Newly Laid using wrong material,Mastic Asphalt (SMA) I personally believe with the volume of traffic using this road would have been the best option. No joints banded using hot bitumen either. The sooner this is corrected the cheaper it will be.

The kerb outside house number 4 Colonel Rd is too high ., 15th September
I have a motorised scooter with a 1.5 inch clearance. I need to use it as I have osteoporosis and arthritis. However the kerb at end of pavement beside 4 Colonel Road Betws is too high and when I use it ( every time I go out) the scooter is severely jolted getting up and again on the kerb outside 6 Colonel rd.. It is bad enough to make light things jump out of front basket and cause a lot of back pain for me. I have a friend in 21 Colonel road who uses an electric wheelchair as she has cerebral palsy and she has the same problems at this crossing. We don't use the other side of the road because the crossing at Betws Road is not all that safe and the camber on a lot of the pavement is quite steep going to town on that side. I do hope that you can help with this problem. Many thanks Cheryl Hoskins-Davies Pen Pound House Heol y Felin Betws

Flytipping on residential estate, 6th September
Yet again , someone has fly tipped by my green food bin (see middle of photo) Last night at 8.15pm I put the green bin and ONE black bag out (the bag nearest the road in this photo) . I went out at 7.45am to see if green box had been emptied only to find the FLY TIPPING CONTINUES ON THIS RESIDENTIAL ESTATE !. I'm assuming that as we are only allowed to put THREE black bags out , and had I put three out , only three would have been taken and not necessarily mine.

Still continues !!., 14th June
It is very, very rarely I put out a black bag of rubish , may be three times a year. Today was one of those occasions, not even a full bag. However, after putting my ONE bag out last evening, Sunday June 13th, as I went to catch a bus thus morning I discovered someone had FLYTIPPED TWO BLACK BAGS next to much ONE. The flytipped bags can be seen in the attached photo. My bag can barely be seen next to my green food bin. One flytipped bag has yellow tie handles and beside it , nearer the camera is another flytipped bag. I have no idea what is being left in these bags. This is the fourth time I have had to report this !!!!.
