Fly tipping: items in stream, 24th April

Wed, 24 Apr 2024 20:43:41 +0100
53.08059 -2.301178

What looks like a sofa and possibly a TV (I can't be sure as I was driving) have been dumped in the stream that runs parallel to the road, as if you're heading out of Alsager, towards the A500. This must have happened in the last few days. Items are clearly visible from the road.

This one is getting bigger every day and you can't avoid it as there is only enough room for one vehicle to pass at a time. I use this bridge twice a day and worried that it may cause damage to my vehicle. It has been there for months. Please can this be rectified. Thank you.

There are now 2 deep and wide potholes actually on the bridge by Bridge Farm. They are becoming deeper and wider due to the amount of traffic which uses the bridge daily including heavy trucks and Lorries. Damage to vehicles is a real possibility as the holes deteriorate. These have been here for a considerable time now.

53.094799 -2.308204

On Station Road, past turning for Milton nursing home if on your right, is a speed hump with a damaged/sunken grid, the high volume of traffic and narrow road means cars drive over the speed hump in the gutter, heavy vibrations/noise travel from the sunken grid. Grid needs re-setting in the gutter.

On open space behind no 20 Swettenham Close, Alsager, 19th April

Fri, 19 Apr 2024 16:48:32 +0100
53.092557 -2.311764

For the second time in a week a considerable amount of waste has been tipped at the rear of no 20 Swettenham Close. A few days ago the Council collected some double-glazed panels from this area. Now someone has tipped a load of plastic guttering and two large glass panels such as you might find on a conservatory. This is a perennial problem. There have been a number of occasions when large amounts of waste have been tipped at this spot and the Council has had to clear it up. I suggest it should be investigated so that the irresponsible individuals are brought to book.

On grass, propped up against a tree., 16th April

Tue, 16 Apr 2024 20:16:29 +0100
53.092627 -2.311716

A resident has fly-tipped 8 double-glazed glass panels against a tree in the small park at the bottom of Hall Drive. Fly-tipping has taken place here several times in the past. I did not witness the depositing of the waste, but two of the houses in Swettenham Close have garden gates which open on to this land. My concern is that if the panels are not collected urgently someone will smash them and glass will be scattered all over the grass where many people walk their dogs.
