Drain Blocked, 21st February
There is a drain/ Man hole cover about 5 meters from the edge of the road, this is blocked and needs clearing so the water from the highway can drain away.

Inspection chamber taking highway water silted up, 20th February
This chamber is on our lawn but is just taking water from the highway-in fact all of the gullies from upper Soudley, Monkeysocks etc drain into it. The chamber is silted and water cannot progress though it into the next low level, which is a pond. As a consequence during rainfall water escapes from the chamber and floods the area of our property.

Sign for a dangerous bend onscured., 26th December
This sign was reported more than twelve months ago but nothing has been done to clear the vegetation in front of the sign. Drivers unfamiliar with the road may inadvertantly fail to appreciate how dangerous the bend can be, because vehicles approaching from the Newport side take the corner very wide.

This is a recurring problem. The road is extremely poorly cared for by Shropshire Council.

20 yards of deep standing water, 7th December
Im on holiday I think this is the area. 2 paltry flood signs are buried in the hedge either end nearly visible in dark at 5pm.
(I’m used to lanes/ night driving and ‘local conditions’ - I’m a district matron from Cornwall)!
Deep flood water, dark at night and driving to Lipley over 1foot standing water for ~7 yards! My car headlights dimmed and engine coughed A4 estate due to water.
This is a serious hazard to people in small cars/ not used to country driving! Also in signal black spot for phone.
Car took 30+ mins of running and reviving to get back above 2,500 RPM. (FYI had full service in October and new battery).
Needs urgent attention/ diversion as this a hazard!

Ditch that drain from road is blocked. Ditch drains under the road via drain thats also blocked, 22nd November
Water is running over the road surface causing damage and will also result in an ice hazard in winter temperatures.

80 degree bend in road with overgrown hedge, 18th October
The current hedge is very overgrown. This location is also a junction onto Marsh Lane from the Cheswardine to Eccleshall road. Consequently the state of the hedge makes both turning towards Eccleshall and into Marsh Lane. The hedge was planted in the wrong location, (too close to the road) by the previous owner of Cob Farm
