A5 by Gailey pool 100 metres west of oak lane, road surface has broke up in the west bound lane where offside wheels run. Length of damage at least 3 metres long and nearly 1 metre wide. Also the bad flooding from the small pool has caused this. Pool outlets were dredged the last time this happened years ago.

No category for my comment, 12th October
Mway J13-J14 Penkridge Staffs. Your site does not accurately report the time that trapped traffic has been waiting, it is now FOUR AND A HALF HOURS. No junctions were closed when the accident took place at 1 AM, allowing traffic to enter the mway. This has resulted in this total fiasco.

Sleeping bag in verge, 22nd July
The elastic on our trailer tent snapped and a sleeping bag dislodged from the load. The sleeping bag bounced into the verge. It’s purple. The car behind us was on convoy with us so saw where it went. We pulled off the motorway at Calf Heath to resecure the load.

Bike Path Not Safe - Unusable and dangerous, 30th August
On this roundabout the is a shared cycle path, the signposted route is misleading and dangerous as it directs cyclists to cross the roundabout junctions twice without the aid of crossing lights, forcing cyclists to cross a total of 6 lanes where the is busy and high speed traffic.
I suggest the should be a pedestrian / cycle crossing fitted across the A5 to make this route safer, as this has been done further down the road where junctions are present.

Timing of traffic lights, junction of A5 Watling St and Vicarage Rd, 22nd August
Dangerous timing of traffic light sequence. Vehicles travelling west on A5 approach at speeds of 50mph, but the amber sequence is so short that vehicles have to slam on their brakes to stop before the lights change to red. HGVs cannot and do not stop. A longer amber phase is needed before there is a serious accident. Can a traffic engineer please investigate as soon as possible?
