Highways rubbish all over the motorway network., 16th April
Motorway network is full of abandoned cones, yellow lights, sand bags and A frames that have been dumped in verges at the side of all our motorways and trunk roads. When are the highways agency going to start cleaning up after themselves and enforcing 3rd parties to do so also. How can you expect drivers to keep the network clean when you are incapable of doing so.
Clean up all your crap.

Potentially lethal raised kerbs inches from running lanes, 27th October
It's a while since my wife and I used the M6 through the roadworks near Stafford, but since our last trip, the metal central crash barriers have been replaced with a continous concrete one, as part of the conversion to "Smart" motorway, but we were horrified to see that, without warning or markings, there are dozens of random short sections of raised kerb sticking out from the crash barrier towards the running lanes, stopping just a precious few inches away from the wheels of vehicles which, when the works are finished, will be travelling at 70mph+, both day and night, and we are both extremely concerned that at some stage, a car will hit one of these raised kerbs at high speed, causing it to flip over onto its left side, and create a pile up which could result in a huge loss of life.
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to attach stills from my dashcam so you can see the problem. I've no idea what they are there for, but I really do think that they need removing as a matter of urgency!

Long delays, 11th November
The progress on these roadworks is so slow. I have seen leaves in the roadworks because the area has not been worked on for so long. The lights cause >15 minute delays. This is not an environmentally effective repair becuase of all the gases released from all the cars waiting. Please speed up this road repair process.

Pothole on Ladfordfields to Seighford road., 8th January
Pothole is approx. 2ft long, 9in wide and 4in deep, is towards the centre of the road and would be virtually invisible in the dark as this is an unlit rural road. It first appeared about 2 weeks ago but has enlarged considerably in the last week. OS map ref.873253

Temporary Traffic Lights, 30th March
Dreadful three-way lights put in with little or no thought. At 6:15 tonight traffic was backed up onto M6 J14 roundabout! There seems to be little reason for these at all as far as one can see from the main road, but because it's 3-way and next to nothing uses the lane one-third of the time is "wasted". Also - please change the relative timings - in the morning more traffic goes TO Stafford, but in the evening ... you guessed!

Blinding lights from new rail yard, 2nd February
When driving along the road towards Little Bridgeford there are places where, at night, you are completely blinded by up to five of the large yard lights. These are brighter than main-beam headlights and it would be impossible to see a pedestrian or cyclist against them. The lights need re-aligning or masking.

Poor traffic-light sequencing and sensing, 2nd February
These lights seem to change at random, plus being on sensors when there is traffic from Chebsey (and the large yard) or traffic from Stafford wanting to turn right towards Chebsey. Surely these should ONLY be on sensors for the Chebsey road? Also the priority on the sensor seems to high - the moment a vehicle leaves the rail yard the lights turn green for it, even before it reaches the lights! As a result traffic from Stafford is stopped apparently "for no reason". As the amber light is short you sometimes have to make a fairly smart stop. I did ... and was promptly rear-ended by someone. That collision was entirely caused by these lights!
Solution - put the changes for the Chebsey road on sensor ONLY and lengthen the amber light. NB: recent hedge cutting has marginally improved visibility of the lights when approaching from Stafford, but not really be enough.

Potholes road surface, 2nd August
The length of this road from four ends clanford road to and including the seighford junction is incredibly poor, it is full of repaired potholes but extremely undulating where the road surface is sinking, the darkened section by clanford lane and slightly further on at the jct to seighford is potholed and poor. It is a terrible surface to cycle on, could this be improved or info on new road as this road has HGV's down it all the time Thank you
