Broken hand-rail, smashed posts, missing anti-cycling barriers., 27th January
The footpath linking the bottom of Hollington, & Greatwood Roads. This footpath had an excellent sturdy hand-rail, and anti-vehicle barriers ever since it was built many years ago. Recently some work-men roughly removed a section of the railing, several posts, and both the barriers. The posts and railing were replaced with sub-standard items which were broken within weeks. The barriers were not replaced. Currently a section of railing is missing, the ends of the railing are 'protected' with tape, and posts are broken/missing. As this path is the pedestrian access to the old peoples bungalows it is a far from ideal situation, especially in winter. It also looks appalling.
