Dog fouling in the countryside, 22nd April
Dog fouling has become a serious problem.Irresponsible locals and visitors allow the dogs to use this traditional meadow land as a toilet fouling the land and public footpath areas. This sort of conduct would be considered unacceptable in an urban setting, it has a detrimental environmental impact is dangerous to children who use the footpaths whilst walking with their parents, it is also undesirable where domestic live stock are kept. I understand that this is now fast becoming a major issue for councils and I would value your support in bringing this to the attention of central government who may be encouraged to think about legislation to prevent what seems to be an escalating problem for both land owners and councils alike througout the Country.
