Broken surface, potholes and exposed edges of 2 manholes opposite old police house in Mill Lane covers,, 15th February

Sun, 15 Feb 2015 16:43:37 +0000
53.138186 -1.812055

There are 2 large service manholes near entrances of Old Police House and Broadfield in mill Lane, Hartington. The surface has crumbled away from both of these leaving both dangerous holes with loose lumps, and sharp edges of the manholes. Extremely hazardous to cyclist or motorcyclist, and potentially dangerous to motor vehicles as a blow-out could be caused if the edge of a tyre catches the exposed manhole edges. Additionally the 2 drainage gullys at Left and right of Nettletor farm entrance are totally blocked and have been ever since works by Electric Company last year (they were blocked with debris during excavations and never cleaned out). The subsequent run-off is washing-out tarmac further down Mill Lane every time it rains. Photos of the 2 manhole - potholes can be emailed to you.
