This pot hole has been there for a number of months, and is getting bigger by the week. It’s on a blind corner, so forced road users into the other carriageway causing a potential accident. The hole now has a cone placed in it, but this has had to be replaced multiple times suggesting it is not a suitable hazard warning.

Laurel Hedge planted and temporary plastic fencing - Path width problem, 2nd December
Footpath 7. The owner of the land (The Grange, Church Road) has planted a laurel hedge on the edge of the footpath. This has restricted the level width of the path to 4 feet at the start of the photograph down to 3 feet art the end of the photograph, well under the 5 feet (1.5m) required. There is a ditch on the left hand side of the path. Laurel hedge growth would probably totally obscure the path. Uttlesford Planning has also been informed as there are planning issues with regard to the hedge. Uttlesford Enforcement are looking at this Reference ENF/21/0283/C

This road is in a terrible state, 24th August
There are potholes down the whole of this road including the continuation toward Fowlmere. There is at least one section where it it really dangerous. The whole road needs the potholes sorting and then resurfacing

Continued flooding despite recent works, 18th January
Still floods across the school entrance despite recent works. While the ditch has been cleared in the verge behind and the roadway drains cleared through to the ditch there seems to be no run-off from the ditch, rather it's now back flooding onto the road. This is pretty much the highest point in the village so run-off channels must be blocked somewhere.

30 mph speed limit sign missing, 30th December
30 mph speed limit sign has fallen off the pole it is supposed to be attached to and has been balanced ad-hoc on another set of nearby signs. There should be a 30 sign on both sides of the road but there's only one here.

Blocked drain - huge puddle outside Chrishall school, 16th December
Road outside the entrance to Chrishall primary school floods every time there is heavy rain. The run off drain is blocked. Causes a problem as a huge puddle forms exactly where the children are trying to cross to access school. Causing a safety hazard as children take longer to cross the road and don't cross in a straight line to avoid the water.

Slip Hazard at Playarea, 13th September
Please explore the possibility of jet washing the safety surface at Chrishall play area. Moss is growing on the safety surface and on some of the play equipment. The moss is creating very slippery conditions especially around the swings. There is a fall risk as kids run through this area. Thanks.

Car tyre wall front passenger side damaged, 1st May
Hit a pothole on heydon road just past the pheasant pub going towards the animal shelter had to call rac out and wait to be rescued had to pay £101 to STS royston for new tyre and for steering to be realigned had to borrow another car so that I could get myself to work on Monday morning all because road had not been repaired by council didn’t see pothole as it had been raining and road was wet

Dead Animal, 26th August
There has been a dead Cat on the verge outside 23 Barley Road since Monday morning. This was reported by telephone that day, but no action so far!

Potholes on B1039 near Anglia Water Metering station between 30MPH derestriction sign and No.55 Barley Road Gt. Chishill are now 2ft long and 1 ft wide. First reported 7 June!! Road now subsiding!
