Hexton Road / Barton Road, 30th January
The National Speed Limit / 40mph sign on left just to West of Hexton, travelling West has been damaged for months. It appears to have now fallen over or been removed. This is the only sign here transfering to NSL from the 40mph in Hexton and vice versa. This is dangerous, both ways, as some cars remain at 40mph down the long hill to Barton, others used to it being 60mph getting frustrated and dangerously overtaking. Similarly other way, some travelling at 60mph into the Hexton hill/bend area, risk skidding. Note: the Beds/Herts boundary is at this location. Its very unclear if sign itself in Herts or Beds. The nearby 'Welcome to Beds' sign appears to be well into the official map boundary??

Barton Road B655, Pegsdon Hills, Bedfordshire, 26th January
There is no sign warning motorists of pedestrians crossing along this road near the bend. This is 1 of the access routes into Pegsdon Hills but there are currently no slowing traffic control measures. A couple of weeks ago, I visited with my dog, and was very alarmed to see a motorist overtaking at speed on the wrong side of the road. If anyone had been crossing at the time, they wouldn't have stood a chance. Please could you erect some pedestrian crossing warning signs as a matter of urgency. I apologise for the delay but initially reported it to Hertfordshire Council believing it to come under them.
