Buses using Bus Stop as Bus Stand, 22nd April
Why are buses using the Bus Stop close to the roundabout at Newcastle Close, Great Ashby, as a Bus Stand. is it because they need to adjust timing for the Bus Timetable. Why has this Stop not been designated a Stand? This is the most dangerous place to have a parked bus, as it's a blind bend leading to a high roundabout. cars heading East speed off the roundabout, so any vehicles trying to get around the parked buses are taking a big risk of head-on collision. Who thinks up these great ideas. Why is a circular bus route become a return bus route. I presume to service Morrisons supermarket at some later time, but it hasn't even been built yet, and there are no signs of anything happening any time soon. Here we have a parked bus, indicator flashing to turn left, engine running, yet driver out of the bus having a cigarette, yet passenger on the bus??? What is going on????

White Van abandoned, 11th April
This van has been parked (partly on the pavement) close to a junction. It has not moved for weeks and looks suspicious to be like so in the village. It has been parked with a wheel on the pavement. Raising caution as it is unusual for a vehicle to have been left in the neighbourhood for so long

Grass cutting, 23rd March
Grass wasn't cut last year making the feild un useable and not yet done this year. Please don't leave it again this year. Residents really want to use our local field!
This field was always used for sports clubs/dog walks/leisure. These had to stop last year due to the uncut grass

Flytipped waste on the south side of the road on the verge and just inside a small wooded area. The wooded area probably is part of the highway or is managed by HCC and lies between Hitchin Road and Wymondley road.

There is what I believe to be a dead dog between the 1st and 2nd lane, just as the lanes split for the Stevenage junction
It is too big to be a fox and fur too long to be a deer

Signal loops damaged on Motorway Slip following surfacing works, 2nd February
The Traffic Signal detection loops HSL1 and HSL2 located on Motorway Slip Rd have not been replaced following surfacing works by NH in Sep 2022 casuing delays on the A1(M) Network. We have not received any updates from NH. Herts County Coucil ref is F-016834. Step B is to go direct to manager of DBFO.

Poor visibility issues for drivers exiting Bray Drive, 29th January
Concerns for the safety of drivers trying to exit Bray Drive on to Great Ashby Way because of visibility reduced by the bushes/trees beside the Bray Drive junction. There have been numerous 'close shaves' where drivers on GAW approach the roundabout too fast, see it's clear from their right (Wansbeck Close) and speed on through. Unfortunately, those trying to leave Bray Drive to join GAW cannot see vehicles approaching from their right until it's too late.
