A pile of discarded furniture, visible from my bedroom window, daily., 23rd January
This pile of discarded furniture & fencing has been in this position since May 2023. The metal crate has been around since October 2023. The courtyard is a shared access area with residents of the flats, an office working and a bar/restaurant. It is the bar which is responsible for the rubbish pile. I am getting rather depressed at seeing it every day from my window. It is supposed to be a private courtyard, but the public, including school children, use it as a short cut from Church Street to Baldock Street. We, the residents, have asked the bar to get the rubbish removed, to no avail. I have contacted the fly tipping team at the council, as has one of our town Councillors, but have had no feedback and clearly, nothing has been done.

Lighting request, 27th December
The footpath alongside the green between Popes Row and Heath Drive is absolutely pitch black at night and it's impossible to see when walking along there. Not only is it very scary but is also very difficult to get from one end of the footpath to the other, and is particularly hazardous for a disabled person. A street light would be a very welcome addition and appreciated by a great many of the residents in all the surrounding roads. Please give this serious consideration so residents can feel safer in their neighbourhood at night. Many thanks

Near miss on Zebra crossing, 13th December
I have now witnessed 15 near misses of cars not stopping on the zebra crossing on Watton Road, by the junction with Gladstone road.
It happened again today at 1730 as I stepped out a car sped through and only missed me thanks to a shout from another member of the public meaning I jumped back.
In adverse weather the crossing is obviously not clear enough.
More illuminated signage to show there is the crossing could solve this issue before we have a major accident. Even better would be to replace with traffic lights and an actual crossing.
I'll look to continue to make from now on each time this happens.
