Public litter bins in Braughing are meant to be emptied every week but this bin often gets missed. It's near a school so the fact that it is overflowing with dog waste, as well as other rubbish, poses a health and safety risk to the young children at the school.

The street light does not work at all. This is a very dark area with no other nearby lights so is dangerous for pedestrians especially now that the evenings are getting darker. It's near a bridge over a stream where the ground is uneven so the lack of light could cause someone to trip.

A tree has fallen within the hedge at the edge of the road southbound, 23rd November
A tree has fallen within the hedge at the side of the road going southbound, and it is now sticking out of the hedges. It is quite a thick branch, and it looks as though it has already been hit. This poses a big danger to all vehicles, but especially large vehicles (this is on the 331 bus route), and vehicles have to move to the centre of the road, causing a greater hazard. This has been like this for a couple of months now, and will inevitably lead to an accident that could cause great damage or injury.

Poor road surface causing vibrational damage to house, 3rd September
The road surface is very poor with patched repairs having sunk. HGV vehicles travelling over it create huge vibrations damaging our home (listed building). This issue is exacerbated by the tendency of the vehicles to speed in the early hours, which also causes sleep deprivation due to the numbers of lorry’s travelling through from 4am each morning.
The impact of the HGVs travelling over the road surface can be physically felt and heard to an alarming level, with property needing repairs to external walls. This is further compounded by parking on the road pushing 100% of passing traffic onto a single side of the carriageway - that side now being very uneven.

Highway Hedge and tree encroaching and narrowing highway. Grass verge also requires excavating to restore width of highway., 10th December
This problem has been reported before. The overgrown hedge and fallen tree are obstructing the highway and obscuring the site lines . There have been several near misses with pedestrians as drivers only see them at the last minute. The hedge and tree need cutting back and the grass verge require excavating to restore the original full width of the carriageway.

Flood, 31st December
This part of the road floods badly every year and has done for the past 12 years and nothing is ever done about it. This road is now being used more heavily as there are road works in Standon and more traffic is cutting through. Many cars each winter are badly damaged from this flood as many people don't realise how deep it is. Please please please can you do something about it this year?

Burst water pipe at junction of friars road and the street, 7th November
This is the third water leak in this part of the road in the last couple of months. There was a burst pipe further along outside the Axe and Compasses Pub last Christmas Day and another before that a few feet away. This needs repairing properly not patching up. It just moves the leak to another place along the pipework.

Flooding, 25th January
This part of the road floods badly every year and nothing is ever done about it. The road is often shut by the council but that is all that happens. We have lived down this lane for 12 years and nothing has ever been down regarding this flooding. Numerous cars a year have tried to drive through the flood and wrecked, always recovery lorries up and down the lane. Please can something be done about this flooding? All that needs to be done is a bit of drain digging by the side of the road? Thank you.
