Speed limit, 16th March
The 70mph limit outside Sherrardswood school on this stretch of road is extremely dangerous for pedestrians, bus users and drivers. To use the bus stop, you have to cross this fast road and there is no crossing to enable this. When coming out of the school drive, you are pulling out into 70mph traffic which is dangerous for the children in cars. There is no way that children can walk safely to and from school because there is not a safe crossing or a path on the school side. It is also dangerous for the staff working at the school who don't drive (of which there are a few!) as there is no safe route of entry. A pedestrian was seriously injured trying to cross the road recently. Surely a road outside of a school needs to have a 30mph limit to keep everyone safe.
