I wrote, as Minstead Parish Council, to inform NFDC that Council fencing has been pushed down and is now lying broken on the ground enabling forest cattle to get into private land and damage gardens Our parishioners are concerned that no action has been made to repair this and we have now been told further damage has happened and private gardens are being effected by the cattle. It is the Council’s responsibility to maintain their fencing to prevent livestock entering private homes and they are likely to be liable with this damage especially as they have failed to respond to the information that has been provided to alert them. This needs to be dealt with now as a matter of emergency.

NFDC access path fence has fallen down allowing animals to enter., 8th April
The Council houses in Minstead have an NFDC access pathway to their back gardens which is bordered by a wooden fence. The fence has fallen down causing a problem as it’s enabling forest livestock to access the pathway and trample on the fallen fence. It’s now dangerous and could enable the forest livestock to access private gardens and cause further damage.

Blocked drainage ditch - causing flooding of our home, 5th March
The drainage ditch on the west bound carriage way just before the Emery Down turning is completely blocked with silt. Which is causing all of the run off water to pour down hill to our front door and into our kitchen and through our walls. The original pathway for the ditch to drain into has become blocked and needs digging out, which would solve all these issues. Flooding has been constant for the last few years, but this year due to the weather has actually come into our home.

Pot hole on the road., 3rd March
The pothole is in three sections and has been the cause of significant damage to a rim of a wheel and puncturing of the tyre. The road has been deteriorating for sometime however there is now a deep pothole. In one part of the broken road.
