ISSUE: Tackling Retail Theft and Anti-Social Behaviour linked to Lymington High Street.nnLymington has seen an increase in reported incidents of retail theft centred on the High Street. Our objective is to ensure that Lymington remains a safe place for visitors and retailers by tackling those who seek to profit from crime.
ACTION: 1. Identify repeat offenders and seek to deal robustly with those causing the most harm. Foot and cycle patrols to be used to deter and catch criminals from committing offences
2. Share details of offenders with local retail premises to increase their knowledge and increase vigilance.
3. Engage with local schools when information links young people to crime and anti-social behaviour.
4. Use of social media to identify unknown suspects
