A close friend to the cats eye sink hole just a few feet away, 3rd April
Pretty much the same as the one I have just reported and few feet away. The benefit of this one is that is you hit them both just right they make the tyre on your car go “ dooof doof”
Just a reminder more info here: This pot hole is just on the dotted white line in the middle of the road. It is an eroded old cats eye hole that hasn’t been filled in when the cats eye was renewed/replaced. It’s now falling in on itself like a sink hole. Have a look when you get there to fill it in, there is a long section of them over about 300 yards. It’s deep and full of water too. Mainly because it’s rained a lot ( you may have noticed) but also because the run off of water from the surrounding fields washes across the road here for about 150ft. If you hit it when the road is wet, it goes “ dooof” Fix it now Rating 8/10.

Washed up stones and gravel all over the road for several hundred yards making the road very dangerous after recent storms. The ditch is now completely full of mud and stones and not flowing which is making the problems worse. Please can someone taken ownership of this issue as soon as possible. The problem starts just beyond Andrews Lane and runs to this point. The whole lot needs to be cleared and then the enormous potholes filled all the way along Gilbert Street. Road with silt and flints from water runoff, 11th February
The road is nearly unusable. Flints and silt need sweeping along Gascoigne Lane and (especially) Gilbert Street from the A31 Lane to Swelling Hill. Punctures galore and such huge piles of flints and silt that low slung cars can’t navigate the road at all. All the debris is making the significant pothole problem even worse. There is so much extra material on top of the actual road surface that the large compacted areas of silt and flints even have their own potholes! All of this will block drains and create more flooding issues. Please help as soon as possible.
