Several potholes just before the bend, 9th May
Several potholes, some very deep and dangerous. Just before a bend and causing vehicles to go round the corner on the wrong side of the road to avoid. Going to cause a head on/ serious accident very soon.

The whole stretch of the north bound concrete section of the M271 towards the M27 interchange is littered with old failed repairs and holes and ruts and more. This needs a full re surface as it is the original concrete from the 1970,s???!!! Please get it sorted now., 7th May
The surface is complete rubbish with failed repairs and more areas of ruts and holes. It needs fully re surfacing now as it is a disgrace and ruins car’s suspension and steering/ tyres. Please please get it done soon. Other areas on the M271 were re surfaced recently and were in much better condition than this section I mention. Done understand why?

Multiple potholes & breaks in motorway surface., 8th April
The potholes & breaks in the ?original concrete surface on all four lanes north & south bound, where they have not yet been completely resurfaced in tarmac, are continuing to cause driving hazards. This is a longstanding problem which has deteriorated further over the last 2 years. The patched areas are breaking up & create signicant hazards as many small vehicles drivers attempt to avoid them. This motorway desperately needs resurfacing NOT MORE PATCH repairs please!

There is at least an 18in Wide Dangerous Pothole. Approximately Grapefruit size Deep, Directly opposite where cars constantly park. Now becoming increasingly unavoidable. Half way down Anderby Road. Left side of the road, heading towards Blakeney Rd.

Damaged fence allowing access to disused bridge over M271, 11th March
The black fencing which prevents access to the disused footbridge across the M271 is broken with 1 metal panel missing therefore creating a gap and access to the bridge. It is unknown how long this has been like this. Police were called this afternoon to children throwing stones off the bridge into the traffic below. This route to the bridge was accessed by walking the dirt footpath between Studland Road Allotments and Flanders Field Close off Studland Road, Southampton.

Broken fencing, 25th February
Broken fencing next to metal gate gaining access to Jubilee Field and play area. This has been damaged a while which has now encouraged motor cycles to gain easy access and churn up areas of the whole field. Motor bikes in this area cause concern for Health and Safety for young children and dogs running round trying to enjoy a walk. Please action asap.
