Flooding of carriageway entrance to farmland, 22nd February
About 3 years ago Severn Trent did extensive work in this area including installing a type of monitoring/pumping station in the field opposite the school house. On completion they created a small pull in layby with gate into the field and laid tarmac. Now that area floods across the carriageway as water flows out of the field. The two houses opposite have recently had drains installed on the edge of the carriageway but with the bunds created this adds to the problem.

Filthy road, 23rd January
I have lived on the road for over twenty years now and can only recall it being swept perhaps twice. Occasionally someone comes along with the odd squirt of weed killer from the council but it is high time the road was swept properly. I live and have a business on this street and am frustrated that the road looks such a mess. Please don’t fob me off saying that there are always parked cars, sending a flyer, organise a day, let folks know! I am not the only resident here that is tired of this mess I’m sure with a little effort all can be made well. Thank you.

Blocked drains, 23rd January
I reported this issue previously to be told ‘the drains are working, they are simply full as the river was flooded’. Today there is light rain, the river isn’t flooded and still the drains aren’t taking the water away. Please don’t fob me off again, the drains need cleaning as they are obviously not working efficiently. This road is prone to flood so reassurance that the drain are working as best they can would be assurance to the residence.
