Our dogs left our yard just outside of Lydbury North around 6pm on Monday and haven't been seen or heard of since then. It's unlike them to stray and we are increasingly concerned they may have been taken.

Ongoing flooding issue, 6th January
Ongoing flooding issue with heavy rain. It runs off the field and down the road, along with mud and grit. The culverts are not maintained and not effective at carrying the water causing flooding to the road impacting on being able to use the road as the water becomes too deep. The water sits against stone walls potentially causing damage. It already fills a garden and approaches a house.
If there are alterations to the road (which there was reference to in a planning application) this needs to be taken into consideration as raising the road will cause water to spread further and subsequently cause flooding to properties.
Report on FixMyStreet
Porhole, 6th January
Pothole and degrading Road surface further flooding, which comes from the fields down the road rather than the culvert, which is not maintained. The pothole is a potential trip hazard as there's no footpath and the street light is not working.

Ongoing flooding issue, 5th November
There is an ongoing flooding issue. The culverts are not maintained. The water runs down the lane rather than flowing into the culvert. This causes flooding of the lane. This prevents access. The water sits against a stone wall possibly causing damage to the wall. The water causes damage to gardens and at times is close to getting into houses. The ongoing issue is degrading the road. There are trip hazards now - there is no footpath and the junction lines have worn off. This issue has been ongoing for years. There needs to be a resolution to the culverts which are not adequate for the amount of water which they need to take away from the lane.

Hedgehog deaths, 2nd November
It has been noted by members of the public and local councillors that an exceptional number of hedgehogs have been seen dead on the roadside due to contact with moving vehicles. The British Hedgehog Preservation Society has also been in touch with the Parish Council to ask for action to be taken. The Council would like to put official signs up along the road and are will to pay for the costs of the signs and installation. Could you please advice?

Village Hall Sign, 22nd October
Sign pointing in wrong direction - AGAIN! the sign clearly needs to be secured in position properly as this keeps happening.

Ongoing flooding issue, 21st October
As previously reported several times: Whenever there is a storm the overgrown culverts cannot cope with the water. The growth in culverts also restricts the water passing in the drainage pipes under the roads. The lane then becomes flooded with muddy water and gravel etc. This sits against our wall (possibly causing damage) and floods our neighbours garden which then rises to the front of their property. The drainage channels/culverts need to be cleared and improved to manage the volume of water draining off the fields with sediment and gravel. The culverts need to be maintained. This flooding prevents access. The flooding has also caused pot holes to appear and others to worsen.
The flooding has now dropped and the road cleaned up by my husband as it could not be left with piles of gravel and dirt/mud. It was a trip and slip hazard. There are elderly residents up the land who walk it every day. There is no footpath so the land has to be used by pedestrians, despite the speed of some drivers.

This issue has been reported on a number of occasions but has not received the necessary attention although I notice it is showing as 'Closed' on the system.
