Drains and manholes blocked, 12th February
Between my house Birch Tree House Gravels (sign for Lower Stapeley} and Fox hill farm on the A488rd ii own the field to the west of the A488 and this field had all new drains a few years back but now the water is running down this field like a brook. I have checked the highway and found that the drains and manholes along this stretch are blocked on both sides of the road .Could this problem be rectified as soon as this is doing conciderable damage to my field .Thank you.

Side of road collapsing, keeps getting worse, 27th November
First reported before Covid this roadside has continued to collapse into the underground stream. It will not be long before a large vehicle causes it to completely collapse. I have to warn every delivery, such as this mornings oil tanker, to take extra care at this point. Water running down the hill is also contributing to road erosion.

Land drain blocked, and road collapsing, 17th November
Due to high water volume running down track, land drain has filled with gravel etc. I have re-dug the ditches several times, and have tried to unblock the drain, but cannot. Severn Trent looked, but said it's a council responsibility. It needs fixing before more damage is caused to the road, as it is already collapsing at the bottom of the hill and becoming dangerous. If it freezes in the current state, both properties will struggle to access their houses. At the very least, please unblock the drain, but at the best, please review the situation down the whole hill - I am having to dig the ditch out every month to keep the water flowing down the side and not across the whole road, and fix the collapsing road at the bottom before it becomes more dangerous. Several Deep Potholes, 7th November
There are several potholes on the A488 from near Foxhill Farm, SY5 0JG to the top of hope valley Many are deep and you have to swap lane to avoid them. This stretch of road needs looking.

12" by 12" Pothole in Middle of Road, 31st October
A very large and deep pothole has appeared in the carriage way over the weekend.
I'd imagine if someone wasn't being observant and they were to hit it considerable damage could be caused to their vehicle.

2 x deep potholes, 23rd October
2x large deep potholes with sharp edges in the carriageway. When you swerve to avoid the first you think it is dlsafe to pull into the lane again when you come across a second hole that is even larger and equally as dangerous.

12 Inch Square Deep Pot Hole, 13th March
On the way to work this morning I noticed this pot hole has appeared following last weeks snow and freezing temperatures. Large enough to damage a car wheel etc. Likely this morning with it being light and nothing coming the other way I was able to avoid it.

Several large potholes in roadway and side of road collapsing, 8th February
The state of the road/lane at this location has steadily been getting worse. Currently it is almost impossible to traverse the lane without hitting potholes or driving off it's side. On one side the road surface is collapsing and has so been doing for several years. Reported before COVID to surveying team but nothing has happened. It will not be long before the oil tanker or a delivery van destroys that part of the lane essentially isolating our cottage from even emergency access (we are both aged 70+).

Junction with track., 29th November
This patch here is used by traffic pulling over to let oncoming traffic through. and lost delivery drivers. It is impacted by highways traffic regularly. At least some of this should be Shropshire's responsibility- even a metre in. Please help.

This stretch of the southbound carriage has several potholes close to the edge of the road. It is difficult to avoid them when vehicles are travelling in the opposite direction at the same time and you can’t straddle over the white line.

Extremely large pot hole and series of smaller pot holes, 4th March
Large and deep crater like pot hole takes up most of the Bishops Castle bound carriageway. Also a series of pot holes leading up to the crater. Dangerous and could cause severe damage to vehicles or severe injury to motorcyclists or cyclists. The large crater is unavoidable unless swerving onto the wrong side of the road!
