Road blocked by parked cars, 23rd February
The road through Myddle outside of the Old Rectory has been blocked for many months now during working hours by parked cars belonging to contractors working on the Rectory. This morning there are at least six or seven cars parked there in a line, right on a bend. When driving past this obstruction it is impossible to see whether anyone is coming in the opposite direction until you are committed to driving through. At one time there were 'temporary' traffic lights on this stretch which made things easier, but these have now gone. I simply don't understand how people are allowed to obstruct the road in this way. Thank you.

Temporary traffics lights still in place after permit expired, 29th January
Temporary traffic lights were put in place for 3 months from 26/10/2023 to allow work on a boundary wall to be carried out (permit number UJ11152737419-01). The permit expired on 26/01/2024 but the lights remained in place over the weekend and remain in place today. The work on the wall appears to have been completed and the closed lane appears to be used for parking by those working on the property. This might be reasonable during the working day but results in an unnecessary inconvenience to other road users outside working hours and at weekends.

Well over twelve months ago I reported the problem all that was done were white lines painted, 8th January
Several surface water drains have sunk creating a hazed for cyclists pedestrians and vehicles. The longer they are left the worse they are becoming. What’s the point of reporting a problem that nothing is done . I also reported that road starting to deteriorate between Marton and Baschurch . Falling away over two years ago. If looked at it might have been easier to fix than it is now. Traffic lights for months now and told the council don’t have funds to get it fixed. I thought the government were giving a boost to councils for road maintenance after scrapping HS2.
