Significant polehole that has emerged on the edge of a large metal telecom manhole cover.
The hole is 4-6" deep, and it is in a position directly where cycles and motorcycles will be riding, and the near-side wheel of a car.
The hole is directly after a junction, and very hard to see when approaching.

Leaning trees, 9th March
There are 2 or 3 trees that are leaning over the road. I drove past today and noticed that one tree looked to leaning more than usual with the root ball being exposed. I’m no expert but would think it wouldn’t be too long before the tree falls.

Road edge sinking, 21st August
Sinking about 8ft long, 18" wide, my previous report has fixed a hole about 200m East. This is from the track junction back towards Pont Goy

Strong smell of sewage from caravan park into graveyard, also sewage, 31st July
Strong smell of sewage in graveyard and surrounding area, seems to be coming from caravan park, especially strong when campers staying there. appears to be a pipe from there discharging into the stream too

B4577, edge of road collapsing, 30th July
Road is collapsing for a distance of about 8ft x 2ft wide from the edge on south side of B4577 approaching turn to Cwrt mawr. Currently about 2" deep, looks like HGV damage

There is a broken branch laying across the tree canopy at Pontgoy., 31st July
The branch is laying across the tree canopy about 50ft up!! As you approach Pontgoy from Tyncelyn. It will fall! The trees generally there are overgrown and precarious

U1458 almost impassible due to road surface debris, blocked drains, 9th January
The U1456 the worst road in Ceredigion according to the Ambulance service! The surface is littered with debris and runs with water that cant get away. The drains and gullies are blocked/ have collapsed and previous surface repairs mean the level of tarmac directs water AWAY from the drains instead of into them. Vast quantities of wet rotting leaves make the road like a skating rink and conceal numerous potholes. Its like it all the time and has been for ages. At the very least please can you sweep it and unblock the drains.

Road needs resurfacing, 9th January
The road surface is disintegrating there are numerous potholes and ruts stretching right across the road from one side to the other so its impossible not to hit them. Its been badly repaired so many times ....it needs the section totally resurfacing urgetly, The problem is on the hill on the bend before TY CROS going down towards Llangeitho.

Please fill these holes, 7th June
A number of potholes down this road from about half way down the hill to the bottom by 'Ty Croes'. They're gradually growing in size and number and are unavoidable when there is uncoming traffic.

Ditch needed water on the roaod, 25th November
Water from either an overflowing gully or spring (on the right going up the hill towards Tyncelyn corner) pours down the road sometimes over the whole carriageway, In winter it freezes and is a significant danger to any vehicle going up and down this steep hill .Its been like this for months and needs urgent attention especially as the road is no longer on the gritting schedule. It needs a ditch digging at the side of the road to carry way the water to the next gully approx 20 yds away . Please act before there is a serious accident here

holes in the road, 19th January
A series of aweful pot holes going up hill towards Llangeitho from Tyncelyn corner and past Pen'rhoel cottages. The worst being about 3 feet across and 4 ins deep with stones and gravel from hole strewn across road.

Grit /Salt bin requested, 3rd January
Please can a grit/salt bin be provided somewhere towards the lower end of U1456. Every winter this lane is often impassable, for days at a time.It is exposed to early & late frosts & rarely gets the sun. Surface water draining from fields makes conditions trecherous with sheet ice forming, particularly on the slope at the bottom of the lane towards the junction with the road to Llangeitho
As the road is inside a council 'exclusion' zone the request for a gritbin will support residents self-help skills & partly alleviate the problem of urgent requests for help to your contact centre. Many thanks
