Parking problems as always, 28th December
The blue car is parking to close to our vehicle, as you can see from photos there is plenty of room for them to park further back, they don't even live here yet he is waiting for a bungalow to be finished for him to move into. Problem there is the bungalow in adjacent to the lay-by, but parking for the bungalow is on the top road not the lay-by, if nothing is resolved I will take matters into my own hands , hope I have a reply soon Many thanks Len Morris 6 Brynteg Arddleen

Months of neglect now causing problems, 6th December
The state of the roadside gutters and drains around the Llwyn Perthi, Arddleen area are appalling and getting worse. This isn’t just a recent issue having endured Storm Arwen within the last week, but the storm has certainly added to the problems. There appears to have been no maintenance work carried out to the footpaths, gutters or drains in the Llwyn Perthi area for some considerable time (to my knowledge for over 12 months now!) and the accumulation of grit, mud and other road film has meant that during 2021 the weeds have had a plentiful medium in which to grow and thrive. The whole close now looks appalling and despite one or two areas where residents have cleared gutters outside their own property the gutters are failing to do their job. The situation has become bad enough that water run off is in some cases is not even reaching the drain and being diverted across the B4392 road to Guilsfield, which is hopefully shown in the pictures. However, if and when it does reach the drain, so many of them are now full with similar accumulations of road debris and it just causes puddles and potholes. Pavements at the entrance to the close have become covered in moss, - which as time passes becomes more of a slip hazard - and the signage is also looking uncared for. Yes, some of these issues could be tackled by residents and I have considered tackling the problems myself, with firstly weed killer to control the weeds and then clearing the gutters, but I’m not sure what the councils response to this would be, obviously I would not have all the H&S requirements covered, so I have decided to use this app recommended to me by a friend before feeling the need to take the problem into my own hands. This isn’t however just a problem in Llwyn Perthi, as Arddleen in general has numerous examples of this lack of maintenance and care. I appreciate the challenges of a pandemic, but surely the jobs that can be done in the fresh air, with reduced or even no risk of infection are the ones that shouldn’t have been neglected over the past 2 years.
