Road virtually eroding away, 9th April
As above ( approximately 8 other comments) this lane area is becoming a MASSIVE concern for all that use it. It is becoming so serious as it’s the only way in and out of NO THROUGH LANE that I worry how much longer I will be able to drive this without damaging my car and being able to get to my job at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. This issue has been ongoing since 2023 and is now deteriorating rapidly with all the rain water of recent. Please can someone give this the attention it deserves.

Road surface is being ‘washed away’., 8th April
Despite numerous reports relating to the state of this road which is effectively being washed away due to water damage, nothing has been done. The damage has worsened significantly and I am concerned that the road will not be passable for much longer as a result. There are no alternative routes to the properties down this lane.

Insulting attempt at repair, 27th February
These photographs were taken this morning. The ‘repairs’ happened yesterday. This is frankly an insult to the residents who rely on this road as access. I can only hope that this is intended to be a stopgap before comprehensive repairs are carried out.

Road surface becoming impassable, 18th February
Recent heavy rainfall has caused flooding on the carriageway, which has now led to road crumbling significantly as water has undermined the road. Large pieces of tarmac lifting up in past weeks, making road difficult to pass.

Almost un passable and now beyond a joke, 18th February
I have lost count of the number of times I have reported this. The lane is now almost un passable. This must be repaired properly. The next stage will be to involve my local councillor and to begin escalating this.

Road now almost impassible and completely unfit for purpose., 7th February
Continuous water flow is undermining any attempt at patch repairs. This road is now unfit for purpose and needs to be assessed for major repairs. The road is used by heavy vehicles on a daily basis. This is the access for multiple properties and is a much needed piece of road.

I’m tired of reporting this stretch of road. It is the lifeline to get out to the main road for many.

Another massive pothole, 26th December
The lane was bodged a few months ago with cold tarmac and no prep. The farmers have since been intensively using the lane with very big equipment which has caused the holes to open up again. The first hole pictured is huge and will seriously damage vehicles that hit it. We have already had a broken spring on one car. The lane has a permanent stream of fresh water flowing down it which comes up from a drain. This has been reported numerous times and is being ignored. This lane is used by numerous households as well as multiple farms. I request that this lane is properly repaired in line with the intensive heavy lorry and tractor traffic it sees on a daily basis.

Road surface and edges crumbling, 8th November
This report refers to the lane to Winnington Green which is just off the A458 near Middletown. The surface of the road and its edges appear to be crumbling, initial signs appeared to be rubble that had been washed into the road. However over the last 24 - 48 hrs the road condition has worsened, the foundation appears to be undermined and the road is crumbling / giving way. As the lane is regularly used for farm machinery and heavy goods vehicles I’m concerned the road will deteriorate quickly and very soon become impassable.
