A contractor has excavated to a depth of at least one meter below the base of a highway retaining wall, the road is now unsupported. The total depth from road surface level to the bottom or the excavation is several meters. There is no exclusion zone. I suspect any heavy vehicle passing close to the road edge will cause a highway collapse. I am uncertain if these works are under your control. Suspect health and safety exe should be informed.
