This road is full of potholes and the surface is really bad. It is so bad it really needs to be fixed asap. Elderly people are struggling to access and leave the lane.

Very large and deep pothole, 2nd April
I was driving from Whitchurch to Nantwich on Sunday 31st March at approximately 10.15pm. It was obviously dark and I did not see the pothole but my front nearside wheel went in and it caused severe damage to the wheel and burst the tyre. I was unable to stop immediately as it was unsafe to do so also there is no footway so I considered it unsafe to walk back to take a photo therefore the location can only be approximate. I pulled in as soon as it was safe to do so and where there were streetlights to change my wheel. I have taken my wheel into my local dealer and have an estimate of the damage.

Huge pot hole near field entrance, 29th March
Heading towards Whitchurch, along the long straight with double whites in the middle and 50mph limit, huge pot hole right near a field entrance. Dinner plate sized and must be 5-6 inches deep. Have to drive very close to middle of road to avoid.

The whole road from Whitchurch towards Nantwich a disaster, 11th March
This road is incredibly dangerous. I took my mother over to Nantwich yesterday and from the Whitchurch island we were weaving in and out to avoid large potholes., This whole stretch of road is dangerous and serious action needs to be done. Worst road ever! Please please get someone to check it out before disaster waiting to happen. Might be partly Cheshire responsibility

Pot holes, 19th February
New wood houses Lane lots of potholes returned after an attempting to mend, they have all popped out and more have appeared, a large one by fir tree farm. Please could it be looked at as my elderly family member goes walking down the lane.. Thank you.

Sharp edged 8 inch pothole adjacdent to drain cover on a525 150metres before turn to church lane, 30th January
I do not know how long this pothole has been there, but this sharp edged large pothole on the left hand side on the main A525 from Whitchurch, just past the sharp left hand bend opposite Broughall Farm, ripped up my front passenger side, tyre very badly on the morning of Sunday 31st December 2023. I had to call the local tyre depot, nr Malpas, who came out and replaced it for me with a new tyre. There was a loud noise, as the wheel hit the pothole and the damage to the tyre was very severe. I was very lucky that I was able to control the car and not hit the large oak close by when the steering shook badly and the car veered to the left suddenly. I was very shaken. as I was on my way to stay with friends for New Year, this unexpected incident caused a lot of delay and I asked the tyre depot to keep the tyre until I could return and photograph the damage. A photo of the ripped tyre is available.

Major pothole just before entrance to Fir Tree Farm, 15th January
The road through New Woodhouses has deteriorated considerably over the last three months with an exceptional pothole opening up just before Fir Tree Farm on the road from the A525. The road is in a very poor condition.
