FIXMYSTREET IN SY10 8JY
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of SY10 8JY:
Diversion Sign blocking visibility onto dangerous road, 27th April
Diversion signs have been put up (and in this case I believe have now been left up after the works have been completed) but once again the signs have been placed which completely block the drivers view when trying to access the A483 - this is a bad enough road to enter onto as it is!
Please can whoever puts these signs up in the first place do so with some common sense and some consideration to road users and how it might obstruct their view!!

Surface disintegrating round gully (REOPENED CALL), 22nd April
REPLACEMENT REPORT - NATIONAL HIGHWAYS SAID 'will inspect' and then closed call. CALLS ARE CLOSED WHEN ACTIONED, NOT WHEN ADDED TO A 'TO DO' LIST!!
On southbound side, 80m south of turning for Station Road. Gullies were all replaced within the last 2 years but poor quality job, hence this is one of those where the surface is disintegrating. Needs urgent and competent repair as tarmac debris is starting to fly about and pavement here is narrow. Safety hazard to pedestrians and road users.

Sign needs replacing BY SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL, 18th April
Call raised by email as fixmystreet goes to National Highways who say 'Council problem' - which it is. Email received from passtrans saying they would replace it. Now have emoswestry saying it is National Highways problem and closing the call WHEN NOT FIXED. Cannot be doing with this. Council problem, council fix, ACTION NEEDED.
Council version of fixmystreet seems designed not to work, so really annoying when calls falsely closed.

Roadsurface appears to be sinking, 8th April
Hi-Just outside our house water has started collecting where the road meets the kerb, we have lived here for 8 years and this is now frequent, it used to run off to the drain further along the road, the way the water would go is not blocked. There is also a section of road where it has dropped and when a lorry or tractor hits it right there is an enormous bang which actually makes the house shake, this is definitely getting worse. Finally BT replaced a large metal manhole a couple of years ago and that is breaking up around one corner. There has been a lot more traffic in the last couple of years in particular from the quarry as well as tractors, the camber of the road means that the side of the road where our house is takes more weight which will compound the problem. 100m further up the road towards Porth-y-waen, you can see ruts in the road caused by heavy vehicles.
Apart from the noise of this, I am concerned about damage to our house and would appreciate someone coming out to take a look Thanks Jon
