Flooded path, chopped tree down, made a new problem, 6th April
The path at the bottom of the field is permanently flooded I assume because drainage grates are blocked. Either the council or a fed up local has chopped down a tree so you can no walk round the flooded path.
The chopped up tree logs were left next to the river which naturally have all been slung under the bridge and into the water by kids.
This is now causing rubbish and debris to back up meaning the likelihood of further flooding is increased and the water is already higher without any heavy rain.
The big pile of wood chips that have been left also could have been spread across the very where the tree was stopping what is now a small swamp rendering cutting the tree down a near pointless exercise.
Please may someone fish out the logs and do something on the grass to stop that bit being further churned up. OR fix the drainage on the path.. but I imagine that’s quite costly hence the tree option.
