FIXMYSTREET IN S62 7UJ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of S62 7UJ:
Wheelie Bin Cleaners, 7th May
Wheelie Bin Cleaners come down our street every week following the bin lorries. They clean out the bins with a jet wash and then empty them into the gutter. In this day and age, this can't be right, can it? Who knows what has been in the bin, oils, sanitary waste, nappies? Hopefully the council refuse collectors have the wherewithal to deal with anything in a domestic bin but the cleaners clean out any remnants and tip it into a gutter or gully. There could be poisons, pesticides or any number of other trash going into the drains / street that will eventually end up in the water courses. Please pass this onto an environmental officer to look into. Its not hard to find the bin cleaners, just follow the refuse lorries.

Skip on Verge, 17th March
Hallo
Builders have commandeered the grass verge to store materials and skips on, this has caused serious damage to the verge. There is a skip placed adjacent the footway that is used as the road crossing place. Because of the skip, drivers are unable to see children crossing the road at this point and similarly children can't see vehicles approaching from the left. the skip and materials need moving immediately before someone is run over. Traffic at this position can be travelling fast from the left as its where an unrestricted road changes to 30mph.

Blocked drains, 30th January
When there is rainfall the drains on the northbound carriageway between jn35a and jn36 do not function, presumably because they are blocked. On Monday morning there was a significant amount of standing water all the way across lane 3 which could not be seen in the darkness until you were in it. This is not the first time this has happened, it is a regular occurrence with this spot being the worst and seems to coincide with the amount of junk and debris washed into drains and gulleys all along the M1 between meadowhall and birdwell on both carriageways.
