Require street lighting prevent crimes., 1st May

Wed, 01 May 2024 00:29:30 +0100
53.433396 -1.367839

We require street lighting in the area as the pathway from Walter street leads from the town centre to adjoining street and the white bridge is dark at night and with high hedges its causes people to gather and potentially take drugs, further more being a dark makes it’s a prime are for predator's to loiter and commit serious crimes such as assault and sexual crimes. Improved street lighting there will help deter people loitering around there. Please of this is not your department pass it to a relevant team rather than bouncing things back to the person reporting it you have a duty of care to act upon this report. If it isn’t and something happens then the council will be held reaponsible as this area has been faced previously crimes similar. You can also add CCTV too. But lighting will help. A report has been made. We need the council to act upon making our street a safer place for residents and anyone passing by.

Discrimination of age, disability etc.. pathways not suitable, 1st May

Wed, 01 May 2024 00:03:07 +0100
53.433689 -1.367788

The footpath near 17 Walter street is not accessible to use for wheel chair users and disable people. That live on that side of the road causing unnecessary inconvenience to try and cross on one side of the route penalising them to use other routes. Children fell as a result of uneven footpath as there is slabs and elderly have dropped from there not safe especially in winter as it will cause someone to have a fall that could result in serious injury or death. This is outside 17-23 Walter street. The pavements need lowering down We don’t want the council keep pinging reports back saying call another department whole point of reporting it on here is that you get the message and pass it to the relevant teams instead of making the process more difficult to address failings and disrepair and things that don’t meet the equality act.

Potholes, 30th April

Tue, 30 Apr 2024 23:47:23 +0100
53.435689 -1.370191

It was reported there pot holes you blocked this section of the road off for almost over a week and half. However looking at it you haven’t repaired anything not sure what you guys were doing there for a week pot holes abs road surface is still terrible and people avoiding the potholes and driving on wrong side. There’s a blind spot and people doing this will cause an accident. I have reported it before and if any accidents happen that’s the council that is accountable. This could cause death too as the pot holes are causing people to change their driving to avoid damaging their cars

Nuisance DPD driver parking outside my house, 20th April

Sat, 20 Apr 2024 19:38:34 +0100
53.439258 -1.388751

A DPD driver constantly parks his van outside our house and others on Warren Hill blocking our views and making it difficult for people to get to their drives or park outside their own house. There are elderly people living here who often have carers and ambulances needing access and the van is in the way. He parks and walks away - he does not live where he parks - he lives further up on Warren hill so obviously doesn’t want this eyesore outside of his house. He causes noise at all times of the day and night with engines starting in the early hours and other DPD vans pulling up next to him to exchange parcels.
